Mid June to Mid October dates have mostly sunny warm days with very little rain. Early fall has the best combination of good weather and lower rates. Winter is the best time for whale-watching, crabbing, storm-watching and many other activities.

Monthly: We do monthly rentals in the Fall, Winter and Spring season, at heavily discounted rates. Contact us for a quote if you are interested in staying for 30 nights or longer. The longer you stay, the bigger the discount.

The Blue Rose Cottage is located at the mouth of Netarts Bay, near Oceanside and Tillamook, Oregon, and overlooks both Netarts Bay and the Pacific Ocean. It's a spacious one-bedroom cottage on a bluff over the beach - with lots of windows and spectacular views. You can walk from the cottage directly to the ocean beach on our private path, or lounge on our deck, which overlooks the Pacific Ocean.

The area features some excellent restaurants, lots of wildlife, state parks, and many other different types of activities. Seals nest on a sand bar opposite the cottage. Pelicans, eagles and a variety of other birds sail in the sky.

The area is known for Dungeness crabbing, clamming, fishing and whale watching. It's one of the closest beaches to Portland, OR (75 miles, or a 90 minute drive). Netarts is a quiet, non-touristy village, with a few hundred people. There are small grocery stores a short walk from the cottage, and you can walk down the beach to 2 of the best restaurants in this area of the coast.

Is the house too small? Consider renting our 3 bedroom house next door. Edens Garden Cottage is also listed on this web site. Larger groups will often rent both house together, which allows for more privacy and adds an extra bathroom.

Its one of the cleanest bays on the west coast and it produces 80% of the oyster seedlings for the west coast. You can see south to Cape Lookout and north to the Three Arch Rocks.
