“"Dowd House"... This home is an absolute treasure chest of history, nostalgia, comfort and sheer joy. Our family felt so relaxed and welcomed in this home. We LOVED all of the old books, the comfy couches, the very personal touches left here... the beautiful ships and decor all around the home. It was a delight to explore. There is plenty of room in this home, yet very cozy. We enjoyed using the wood fireplace and the ocean views were absolutely beautiful in both the downstairs living areas AND upstairs bedrooms. Meredith Lodging did a great job, as the home was very clean and our family of 7, had everything we needed for our stay. We found ourselves wishing we had booked the home for an additional couple of days, so... we will definitely be back!!
