Fisher Poets Gathering

Every winter, the historic port town of Astoria fills with the voices of the fishing fleet. Commercial fishermen and women — along with cannery workers, boat builders, and the families who work the water — take the stage to share poems, songs, and stories drawn from a life at sea.

Part folk festival, part working-waterfront tribute, it's one of the most distinctive gatherings on the Oregon coast: gritty, warm, and unmistakably real.
